Beckie Menzie debuts her brand new solo show “ACCOMPANY ME”

The show also celebrates Beckie’s 35th anniversary of sharing her music in Chicago.

“ACCOMPANY ME” celebrates musical icons who have made their careers singing, songwriting and performing at the piano.  Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune said “Spirit invades Menzie’s art which pairs uncommonly sensitive vocal lines with a sweeping, sumptuous approach to the keyboard.” This virtuosic performance showcases artists including Carole King, Billy Joel, Nat King Cole, Lady Gaga and more, as well as including anecdotes about Beckie 35 years of making music in Chicago. She will be joined by percussionist, Irwin Berkowitz.

Beckie Menzie has appeared at the legendary Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Birdland in New York, The Ravinia Festival, Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre and Park West, as well as at concert halls and art series across the country and countless nightclubs in Chicago.  Hailed by Chicago’s WGN Radio as “one of the city’s finest cabaret performers,” Beckie was featured in Michael Feinstein’s Now & ThenSeries for her Carnegie Hall debut and serves as a Musical Director for Michael Feinstein’s Songbook Academy. She has been featured at many Mabel Mercer Cabaret Conventions in New York, The Hamptons, and in Chicago, as well as performances for the Chicago Humanities Festival, where she has served as a performer, director and musical director.

Beckie has hosted open mics for singers since the first week she arrived in Chicago in 1988. She also performs regularly with Tom Michael, and as a duo they have toured their many concerts across the country. Beckie also is one third of the GIRLS LIKE US group that includes Laura Freeman and Marianne Murphy Orland.   For more info, visit
